I am currently attending college, with plans to double major in Art and Psychology. In highschool, I studied photography through both digital photography and AP studio art courses. The digital photography class was designed for students using a variety of cameras, so it was very composition based. The focus of the class was on the different aspects of a successful image, not the mechanics of the camera. I began to explore the world of cameras and manual photography on my own throughout high school, and with the guidance of my art instructor when I took AP studio. I am currently working to make photography more involved in my everyday life, to expand my range of subjects, and to explore new ideas.
Which basically means that I'm just out to have some awesome photographic adventures. :)

Kate has a natural way interacting with children to capture their sweet spirits. It was a joy to have her photograph our kids and take a few family photos as well.
She's always looking for the "golden light" that we all crave in our photos.
More importantly she doesn't take herself too seriously and is willing to be as silly as necessary to get the kids to focus on her, without taking "cheesy" portraits.
I will always treasure these photos, especially as the years go by.
